Originally from Phoenix, Arizona he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from Arizona State University. He went on to obtain his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic West, graduating with honors. As a member of the Palmer West Sports Council, he focused his attention on sports injury prevention and rehabilitation. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. An athlete himself, he personally took a strong interest in effective, conservative musculoskeletal treatment and understands the importance of athletes returning to their sport quickly without unnecessary invasive treatment. His clinical practice includes athletes of all levels and disciplines.
He approaches each patient with an open mind to provide the best treatment approach based on their individual needs and goals. He maintains certifications in Selective Functional Movement Assessment© (SFMA), Active Release Techniques© (ART), TRX suspension training, K-laser therapy, running gait analysis, and as a Rocktape© provider.
Dr. CJ Epstein is far from the typical chiropractor. Although he is very talented at performing gentle manipulation techniques, Dr. CJ utilizes hands on soft tissue work such as ART. He is extremely effective at treating sports injuries and degenerative problems by decreasing pain very quickly. Dr. CJ combines these techniques with the therapeutic benefits of the class IV laser to get the best results possible.
Dr. CJ appreciates all the activities San Diego has to offer. In his free time he enjoys being at the beach, playing soccer, running, strength training, snowboarding, or working to improve his golf game.
